Bio
James Gross is a native Wichitan. He received his MFA from Wichita State University and pursued additional studies at the University of Kansas and the University of Missouri. Gross has been exhibiting his work for five decades. He has artworks in major collections including those of the Brooklyn Museum in New York City, the New York Public Library in New York City, the Museum of Modern Art in New York City, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City, and the Bibliotheque Nationale in Paris, France. The prestigious gallery of contemporary art, the Tibor de Nagy Gallery in New York City, has shown Gross’ collages in group exhibitions. Major journals such as ARTS Magazine have reviewed his work. Gross currently maintains a studio in Wichita, KS and teaches.
