Matthew Thonen is an artist of Wichita Kansas, whose love for art extends over three decades. The inspiration for his work is from the every day, and the thoughts that cross his mind, and coming out through his illustrative expressionist oil painting style is just that.

I love the feeling of a finished painting. The suspense and drama throughout, leading to a refreshing and affirming conclusion... it’s like a good book.
