Art Challenge is a long-standing tradition at Friends University. The event seeks to support local high schools, offering workshops and a juried art competition where students, along with the recognition, can win generous scholarships. This year, the theme was Metamorphosis: The Art of Transformation. Contestants were challenged to enter a variety of media reflecting personal growth and evolution.
Beginning this year, we are honoring the high school students who won the annual Art Challenge contest with their own exhibition. Metamorphosis: Art Challenge Winners will be on display in the Riney Fine Arts Gallery until June 26, 2022.
The exhibit is sponsored in part by KMUW, Wichita’s National Public Radio member station.
